Dr. Tony Hutchins, DVM graduated from the University of Georgia Veterinary College in 1982. He joined Dr. Richard Wilkes in practice the same year and became partner in 1984. In 2004 Dr. Hutchins became the sole owner of Pell Animal Clinic, Inc. and Farm Veterinary Services, Inc. For more than two decades, Dr. Hutchins has served the small animal community, horse community, and cattle industry. His specialties include equine reproduction, bovine reproduction, and embryo transfer. He is certified by The American Embryo Transfer Association.
Dr. Christopher Sumner, DVM graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Upon graduation he practiced in Maryland for two years. He joined our team in 2005 and became partner in 2007. Dr. Sumner is originally from Pulaski, VA and has spent most of his life working with horses and livestock.
Dr. Sonya Etter, DVM graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 2000. After the birth of her son, that same summer, she became the primary small animal clinician for Pell Animal Clinic, Inc. Dr. Etter grew up in Roanoke County with family ties in Franklin County. Her passion lies in small animal internal medicine.
